NEVER ENOUGH by Author Nancy Fraser **BOOK BIRTHDAY**

You gotta love a Book Birthday ... especially one that brings a steamy, steamy read with it! Never Enough shall forever be known as the book that wrote itself. Or, more precisely, it drove me to distraction demanding I write it the way they wanted it.

Genre: Ultra-Steamy Contemporary Romance with a Touch of Romantic Suspense

About the Book

When Amanda Thorne arrives on San Bella Island, she’s tired and in bad need of a vacation. She’s just finished paying off her late husband’s many debts by selling their home and belongings. On her way to Dallas for a new job in a medical research lab, she’s taking one week to recoup before beginning her new life.

Nicholas Holloway is recovering from a 2-year stint undercover for the U.S. Marshal Service. Ordered to take a vacation to clear his head, he ends up on San Bella at the same time.

Will these two battle-scared souls find peace in the other’s arms? And, will they be able to walk away at the end of their one-week fling?

Caution: This book contains love scenes and language some may find offensive. Or hot!

Nick stood beneath the pounding spray of the hotel shower and let the hot water run over his body. His muscles ached but—for the first time in a very long time—in a good way.

Mandy had been incredible. She’d given as good as she got. And, heaven help him, he wanted her again. He’d only wanted a taste—something to take the edge off. Yet, clearly, one night was not going to be enough.

Then why’d you leave? You snuck like a scared little prick; like a coward.

Nick gave his head a shake, denying the prodding of his inner voice. Not a coward. Just pragmatic. Despite her willingness to jump his bones, he doubted Mandy was one for casual affairs. She was the type of woman who’d eventually want more.

And casual was all he could do.

He needed food, some more sleep, and something to do; something to keep him from climbing the stairs and banging on Mandy’s door and begging her for another few rounds of damned near perfect sex.

After drying off, he donned a clean pair of shorts and T-shirt and dialed room service. An order of steak and eggs and a pot of coffee should set him right; help him think straight.

An hour later, he set the empty tray in the hallway outside his room and went to lay on the bed. Closing his eyes, he waited for sleep to claim him. Rather than the rest he so desperately needed his mind conjured a vision... a tall, thin woman. Dark circles rimmed her eyes, her arms were scratched from years of drug abuse, her breath fetid from too much booze.

Lauren.

She’d been collateral damage in a much bigger intolerable situation. He’d done his best to get her out; get her healthy. Yet, in the end, she’d died in his arms—a victim of her own making; her favored excesses. Nick cursed roundly, wishing his memories away.

If wishes were horses. Or so the saying went.

Pushing himself to his feet, he finger-combed his hair into some semblance of order, slid his bare feet into a pair of sandals, and grabbed the keycard off the nightstand. He had to get out of there. He couldn’t hide in his room forever.

Checking to make sure the in-room safe was secure, he reached for the brass door handle and tugged.
